The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

We want EFFORT and PASSION for art as well as needing a VERY INVOLVED AND STRONG

board of officers and members.

What are the benefits of joining NAHS?

  1. Create a fun and successful year in art while promoting yourself and your art.
  2. College Admission: Membership looks good on college applications, regardless of your major. Being an officer looks even better!
  3. Scholarships. Membership is beneficial for earning scholarships and admission into many Art Schools.
  4. Reserved spots in art shows and contests. Access to extra art opportunities.
  5. Awards and Recognition. Maintaining the Art Classroom, Managing the Gallery, Creating , decorating and building art shows at Reef and room/hallway displays.
  6. Shirts for Members for Spirit Days (Fridays)
  7. Promoting Magnet Art- having a voice in decision making for shows, field trips, fundraising and more!
