Article III: Membership
Section 1: Membership in this chapter shall be based upon art scholarship, service, and character.
Section 2: To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must be a high school student enrolled in grade 11 or 12 in this school and have completed a period equivalent to one semester of art in this school.
Section 3: An eligible candidate shall have a minimum scholarship grade of A in all art courses, as indicated on the 9 weeks report card. Interim progress reports do NOT count. This is the national minimum standard of achievement required for eligibility and shall remain fixed.
Section 4: Members must earn a total of 15 points by April 26, 2023. A member receiving less than 15 points in an academic school year will be dismissed from the society.
Section 5: A member may not receive more than 2 grades lower than an A in an academic school year. A member receiving more than 2 grades lower than an A in an academic school year will be dismissed from the society. If a member receives a grade lower than an A on a report card in any art class, they will be placed on probation. Members on probation may have restrictions placed on their activity in the club until such time as they are off probation. They will have until the next 9 weeks grading period to raise their grade. If a member fails to raise their grade to an A, the member will then be dismissed from the Honor Society.
